This combines an extensive online guided programme with 1:1 workshops, coaching sessions and an end-of-programme strategy review workshop.


These sessions take place remotely (with an in-the-room option where practical).


You will also be able to join the next group experience of the Author the Future programme, should you wish.


Investing this time in creating a robust, developed product strategy prevents you making most of the common mistakes business owners make when starting to work on their first book or course.


Crafting your strategy also enables you to maximise the benefits for your audience, your business and yourself from this transition to incorporating products into your wider business model.

What does it involve?

Working intensively with Martyn and Richard, over a three-to-four month period, you will:


  • explore your audience and their needs, your experience and expertise, effective media strategies, creating disruption in your field, and evolving your unique intellectual property
  • reflect on your existing business and future growth plans
  • test your insights and new intellectual property in your existing business contexts
  • improve your current communication skills
  • record the impact of your development work in your day-to-day business
  • design a five-year product development plan
  • create a comprehensive, detailed working plan for your first product (book or online course)
  • become confident that the products you create will be top quality, transformative experiences for your audience
  • plan ahead for the changes in business model that are required when incorporating published projects
